(Phoenix, Arizona) – Michael Hakim Cook (2/1989), the suspect in a case of an aggravated assault at a cellphone store in West Phoenix has been served with two indictments issued by a Maricopa County Grand Jury, one for the alleged acts on June 4th and for an alleged offense committed in February 2021.
In the first indictment, Cook has been indicted with two counts of Aggravated Assault, a Class 4 Felony, one count of Robbery, a Class 4 Felony, and Burglary in the Third Degree, a Class 4 Felony. In the second indictment, Cook has been charged with one count for Misconduct Involving Weapons, a Class 4 Felony.
“Let it be clear that violent crime will not be tolerated in our community. Innocent people have a right to work and live in a safe community where violent offenders are held accountable,” said County Attorney Rachel Mitchell.
A charge in a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
