Drug abuse, child abduction and identity theft are just three of the serious crimes people will learn how to prevent at the 2011 Citizen Safety Forum & Expo.
In addition to classes on protecting yourself from violent crime and property crime, the Citizen Safety Forum & Expo will offer free on-site document shredding, child ID kits, and crime prevention products from a range of vendors. The event will also offer classes for children six years of age and older, and includes a complimentary breakfast and lunch for class participants.
“The best way to avoid becoming a crime victim is to prepare yourself, your family and your neighborhood with proven crime prevention strategies such as those offered at this event,” said Maricopa County Bill Montgomery, who will deliver a luncheon keynote address and answer citizens’ questions at both locations. “The free education and services at the Forum are a worthwhile investment of people’s time and I encourage everyone to take advantage of this valuable offering,” he added.
