PHOENIX— On March 29th Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Denny Barney and Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery signed the 2018 budget for the County Attorney’s Office. The budget offers fiscal responsibility in the next budget cycle while still meeting the criminal justice needs of the County. The new budget reflects very little change from the previous year’s request from the County Attorney’s Office.
“It is important that our residents see that my Office is able to practice fiscal discipline without sacrificing the level of service we provide to our community,” said Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery.
“This has been an ongoing effort by the Board to create a balanced and fiscally responsible budget for the County. Today’s budget agreement was a collaborative effort that is indicative of the strong relationship between County Administration and the County Attorney’s Office,” said Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Denny Barney.
The 2017-2018 fiscal year budget will go into effect on July 1, 2017.
