PHOENIX- Continuing the successful campaign “Save Lives, Don’t DUI” the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is partnering with ride-sharing service Lyft to offer St. Patrick’s Day revelers an incentive not to drink and drive.
Between now and St. Patrick’s Day on Thursday, March 17, first-time users who download the Lyft app can get $5 off their first 10 rides by entering the promo code “BELUCKY.” Those who already have the Lyft app can enter the code “BELUCKY17” to receive 5% off two rides allowing them to get to and from the festivities safely.
“This offer should be embraced by people as a way to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day without posing a risk to themselves or others on our roads and highways,” said Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery. “If you plan on celebrating this holiday at your favorite pub, don’t rely on the luck of the Irish to get you home safely. Use Lyft or another safe ride home instead.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office to promote Lyft as a safe ride option for people around the holidays,” said Drena Kusari, Lyft’s Phoenix General Manager. “Expanding access to more safe, reliable transportation options like Lyft can only be beneficial, and we look forward to continuing our work together to increase driving safety and lessen DUIs for all of Arizona.”
More than 600 people took advantage of the “Save Lives, Don’t DUI” campaign with MCAO during March of 2016.
