Capital Litigation Bureau

Capital litigation handles first degree murder cases in which the State is seeking the death penalty.

Drug Enforcement Bureau

Drug Enforcement prosecutes narcotics traffickers and those involved in the manufacture, transfer, sale or possession of illegal drugs.

Family Violence Bureau

Created in 1996, the Family Violence Bureau is responsible for prosecuting domestic violence cases, including child abuse and vulnerable adult abuse offenses committed in Maricopa County.

Gang Bureau

The Gangs Bureau aggressively investigates and prosecutes Criminal Street Gang members.

Sex Crimes Bureau

The County Attorney’s nationally-recognized Sex Crimes Bureau is responsible for prosecuting cases involving sexual abuse of children and adults, child prostitution, child pornography and computer-related sex crimes.

Vehicular Crimes Bureau

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office Vehicular Crimes Bureau prosecutes crimes involving motor vehicle collisions and incidents in which drivers are found to be driving recklessly or driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or prescription medication (DUI).
