Mountain Ridge High School - 08/30/2013
A little summer rain didn’t keep the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions from showing their school pride and winning the Friday Night Football game 30 – 13 over Cesar Chavez. Also 574 students showed their commitment to staying drug and alcohol free and signed a Drug-Free Pledge. 104.7 KISS FM, the U.S. Army and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office collected the pledges and a very excited Tyler B. was the lucky student who won a $500.00 Visa gift card.
Liberty High School - 09/06/2013
The Liberty High School cheerleaders have something extra to cheer about because not only did the football team beat Mountain Ridge 29 – 7 but their very own Courtney M. won the $500.00 Visa gift card. There were 664 students that took the pledge to stay drug and alcohol free. The U.S. Army, 104.7 KISS FM, and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office collected the pledges and awarded the prize at the game on Friday
Campo Verde High School - 09/12/2013
As the Campo Verde Coyotes secured a decisive victory over the Gilbert Tigers on the field, the Friday Night Football Patrol collected a whopping 639 pledges from students -- an equally decisive victory in the battle against teen substance abuse! Congratulations to Coyotes drum major Joshua C., who won the drawing for a $500 gift card. With three games down and seven more to go, the Patrol has received more than 1,800 pledges and is on track to easily exceed last season’s totals!
Fountain Hills High School - 09/20/2013
The Fountain Hills High School football team may not have won the game on Friday night -- but the school proved themselves to be winners in the battle against teen substance abuse by having more than fifty percent of the student body signing drug and alcohol free pledges during lunch and at the game. Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery presented a delighted Jon R. the $500.00 Visa gift card after his name was drawn from the box of pledges. Many thanks to the members of the Fountain Hills Coalition for helping the MCAO Friday Night Football Patrol volunteers, and congratulations to the student body of Fountain Hills for a job well done!
Desert Vista High School - 09/27/2013
Desert Vista High School is on a winning streak! Not only did they win Friday’s football game 47 - 21 but they also won the title of having the most students sign the drug free pledge. The Thunder students signed 809 pledges making them the record holder for all three years Friday Night Football Patrol has been visiting high school games (so far). Daniel J. was the lucky student to win the $500 Visa gift card!
Pinnacle High School - 10/04/2013
Pinnacle High School scored a huge win against North Canyon 52 – 14. Their winning streak continued as they won a big victory over teen substance abuse by having 461 Pinnacle students sign a pledge to stay drug and alcohol free and not abuse prescription drugs. Trevor C. was the lucky student to win the $500 Visa gift card!
Boulder Creek High School - 10/11/2013
Boulder Creek High School beat Mountain Ridge High in Football with a final score of 27-21. The Friday Night Football Patrol was out at Boulder Creek during their lunch and at the game, collecting pledges from students who committed to stay Drug and Alcohol free to not abuse prescription drugs. Sabrina B. was the lucky student whose pledge was picked randomly out of the 594 pledges signed by Boulder Creek students. Being in the band must be lucky, Sabrina is the third band member to win the $500.00 Visa gift card this season!
Millennium High School - 10/18/2013
Millennium High School beat Maryvale High in Football with a final score of 59-0. It was homecoming and the Friday Night Football Patrol was out during lunch and at the game, collecting pledges from students who committed to stay Drug and Alcohol free and to not abuse prescription drugs. Out of 654 pledges, Tiffany J. was the lucky student in purple who won the $500.00 Visa gift card!
Brophy College Preparatory - 10/25/2013
The Friday Night Football Patrol was on the scene as Brophy College Preparatory Football beat Dobson High School 52-3. The winning continued when Cade. E. won the $500.00 Visa gift card. He signed the Drug and Alcohol free pledge along with 409 of his classmates showing commitment this school has to winning in sports, school and life by staying drug free.
